This course is a 1 week program designed to give the student the foundational knowledge and fundamental instructional skills to prepare them for the International Fire Service Accreditation of Congress (IFSAC) and ProBoard certification meeting the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) 1041 standards. This course is delivered through classroom learning and practical application.
Course topics included are: challenges of instruction in emergency services, public speaking, instructor’s role, legal considerations of instruction, psychology of learning, instructional delivery and use of multi-media, and testing & evaluation.
This program is 24+ hours long and is limited to a maximum of 30 recruits (in person) 15 recruits (hybrid) per course.
