Fire Service History

A course diving into the nation’s historic footprints of the fire service. Going back to its’ origins of volunteer fire brigades citing the oldest continuously active volunteer fire company up through the parts of the fire department scramble. Touching on the progression of technology from Gamewell alarms and ticker tap to stave pipes and what it meant to “catch a plug” Attendee will review some of the milestone fires that changed the industry over the years from the 1900s to modern day.

This is a 3-4 hour course.
