“Max Hollander I believe was our best instructor that we had, you could tell how much he cared about our class and put more effort into our class than some of our students. I was very bummed to hear that he would not be instructing for hazmat because oh how much hard work he did for the fire portion of our class. Im not sure who will be seeing this but please strongly consider having max be a part of next years fire academy he is awesome!”

O got to learn from sdneon who I admire, respect, and hold in high esteem in a completely different role outside the fire ground. I’m not sure how to explain it, but I felt like I connected some dots and understood some aspects about the fire service, leadership, and the role I have within this service. I would also say it felt like kind of a baton handoff. A key moment for me was realizing as you gain more time and experience in the fire service, it becomes more and more important to lead, support, and enhance those who are coming up behind you. I was able to start understanding the fire service from a bigger perspective, outside of the emergency scenes and training ground.”
